2020 has been a year of firsts for Wanderword! We released several updates to our first major title, Cursed Painting, made into the list of Amazon’s Recommended titles (Amazon Editor’s Choice), and have even taken our first big step into creating educational content. Most importantly, we are launching our brand, Poptale. Even with all these brave firsts, we have remained laser focused on our ultimate goal: creating a platform that can turn any hobbyist into a full blown interactive audio developer. 

While we have offices all over the world, our main hub of activity this year has been the Boden, Sweden office. Boden is an outdoor dreamscape where one can behold the spectacles of nature, from the mirrored surface of Lake Långsjön to the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights, no matter where you crane your neck, there is something magnificent to see! This goes for inside the Boden office, as well. We are proud of our hardworking team of creators who have increasingly become more adept at building stories, tools, and experiences that are rich in audio and ground breaking in design. 

We have identified the need for technology and entertainment that doesn’t require the user to stare at a screen. According to the CDC, children ages 8-10 spend an average of 6 hours a day interacting with a screen and this goes up to 9 hours a day for children aged 11-14. Not to mention that most adults spend even more time in front of screened devices each day. For this reason, we are eager to provide a heads up, hands free form of entertainment for all ages. 

And this screen-free experience is a major motivator for our yet to be released software platform. With this new tool, we plan to invite the world to create their own interactive audio experiences to share.

As we finish up December, it is with the intention of releasing two more major titles and launching our brand, Poptale. There is so much on the horizon and we are working on partnerships that will bring even more variety to the audiosphere. We cannot wait to introduce a combination of brand new experiences alongside tried and true classics, all in a new format designed to straighten our spines and entertain our minds and hearts.
